Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is an origin of Japanese martial arts in which it is a self-defense sport based on ground fighting that allows a person to defend himself by using leverage and proper technique.

A Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fighter’s goal is to take down his or her opponent to the ground and set up a submission hold or use striking techniques. There are many health benefits to this form of martial arts because it not only helps you to lose weight and become flexible, but it helps to increase strength as well. Our Jiu-Jitsu class will require you to practice a technique repetitively, and will take time and patience to get one movement down. However, we want you to push yourself and to keep learning, memorizing, and staying positive.

Getting good at Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is just like getting good at anything else; you must try to stay the path, be consistent, and practice mindfully.

In our class, you will be working with partners or with an experienced BJJ instructor like Coach Carter and Grandmaster Pak. It is not only a men’s class. You will notice many women now learning BJJ as well. It is an excellent form of martial arts, and you will see your body feeling stronger, flexible, and overall healthy.
