Carlos Machado Jiu-Jitsu in Lake Highlands has been changing the lives of athletes for years. Our goal is not only to create the next generation of martial artists but also to bring some old-world artistry to modern MMA by providing training and educational resources that are proven over decades of experience.
BJJ is a lightning-quick self-defense discipline that can look impossible from the outside. But at Carlos Machado Jiu-Jitsu – Lake Highlands, we’re working hard to break this sport down into a step-by-step process that you can learn and develop over time.
In our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program, we work with everyone from the complete beginners in our community to the high-level fighters who are looking for a challenge. Our team of instructors can meet you where you are and help you take steps forward every single day.
We’re helping men and women all across Dallas take on:
- Standing strategies like throws and takedowns
- Seamless transitions to ground fighting
- Proven control techniques like chokes hold, and locks
- Incredible submission skills to help you come out on top
BJJ for Kids
BJJ helps kids gain confidence, learn discipline, focus their energy, foster respect for others, and build trust through leadership. You can’t teach that without first understanding the brainwashing process!
“Our generation was being conditioned with images of what it must be to fight in a streetfight.” — Mike Delaney.
The next step is coaching children or training them as teenagers if they haven’t already trained themselves from an early age on fighting skills – this could cost thousands or even millions each year. Then once you’ve taught yourself these techniques, this will become incredibly challenging due to physical challenges and emotional stressors over time: How do I tell myself “No!” when all my friends think about punching me?
Besides being a super interactive and Culturally rich class, Capoeira can help develop balance in both hands. It’s also essential to have experience in teaching people how they should do their sport or move around with proper technique! Here are some examples of techniques you’ll see on the show: – Roll out into full extension from tip-in when your body is relaxed (full flexion) – this helps keep each foot planted & gives extra control for more stability overall while maintaining a firm grip. Sometimes, this movement gets tricky because my feet rang sideways/on top of someone else 🙂!!!! It also has lots going through it, so I’d recommend practicing correctly using these two types of movements by training right after practice. Jus
