Believe it or not, Jiu-Jitsu is a journey. You’ll have highs, and you’ll have lows. There will be times when you feel on top of the world, and times when you just have to crawl through mud to get to the other side. It’s important to find an academy that can help make your journey as pleasant as possible. This starts with the instructors. While you should always look for the most skilled practitioners, it isn’t enough to choose them just because they are capable of understanding and executing techniques. They need to be able to teach with patience, and they need to be able to make themselves relatable so that you feel comfortable approaching them on and off the mat. A large part of learning should also come from your fellow training partners. It’s not enough that they are good practitioners — they need to be good people too.
Ultimately, your journey is a personal one. You can do it. “With good intentions and hard work and determination, you can achieve anything”. That’s our motto. And that’s what we believe and live every day. Whether you want to become the best conversational Spanish speaker or simply learn basic Spanish phrases to help you on your next trip to South America, we’re here to give you the guidance and encouragement necessary so that you can achieve your learning goals.
